Today I have embarked upon a much delayed quest - putting online one of my old comics: ‘Coined’.
'Coined' was an old super hero manga I made back in 2009 for Dutch doujinshi circle OpenMinded and I loved the characters and the storyworld it took place in: Samaritan City, a town where evil never sleeps in and where gifted people have become so numerous that the Foundation for Benevolent Deeds is more occupied with collateral damage lawsuits than with fighting crime.
While later chapters in the saga are somewhat nsfw, the lengthy prequel ‘Coined Zero’ that featured in OpenMinded’s 'Heroes and Villains' can be enjoyed by everyone, especially lgbt readers. Since the art stems from my early comic days, don’t expect the same quality as my recent work, just enjoy it ‘as is’. It will upload on weekdays (much like this blog) until it’s complete and everyone once in a while I may post a reminder on my blog here.
Currently the comic can be read on smackjeeves.com - lateron I’ll also be uploading it to more platforms. The site setup is pretty basic as of yet, but in the coming weeks I’ll be upgrading it to include more character profiles, fitting layouts etc.
